This feature is in limited availability and available to select users.

Once you set up contact automations, you can edit them anytime your process changes, temporarily pause them, or delete them completely.

Turn a contact automation on or off

You can pause a contact automation without deleting it. This is useful if you want to stop automating something temporarily but might use it again later.

To enable or disable a contact automation:

  1. Open the editor for the event type with the contact automation.
  2. Select More Options.
  3. Go to the Contact automations section.
  4. Find the contact automation you want to change.
  5. Select the toggle to turn it on or off.

When you disable a contact automation, it stops running for new bookings. Nothing that has already been added to your contacts is removed.

Edit a contact automation

You can change what a contact automation does without deleting it and starting over.

To edit a contact automation:

  1. Open the editor for the event type with the contact automation.
  2. Select More Options.
  3. Go to the Contact automations section.
  4. Find the contact automation you want to edit.
  5. Select the three vertical dots and choose Edit.
  6. Make your changes.
  7. Select Save.

These changes apply only to new bookings. Existing bookings and contact information remain unchanged.

Delete a contact automation

If you no longer need a contact automation, you can remove it completely.

To delete a contact automation:

  1. Open the editor for the event type with the contact automation.
  2. Select More Options.
  3. Go to the Contact automations section.
  4. Find the contact automation you want to delete.
  5. Select the three vertical dots and choose Delete.
  6. Confirm you want to delete.

When you delete a contact automation, it stops running right away. Any data already added to your contacts stays in place. You can recreate the automation later if needed.

Frequently asked questions

Contact automations are only available on paid accounts. Upgrade your account to enable this feature.

No. Contact automations, mappings, and changes to them only apply to new bookings made after you set them up. If a contact booked before you created the automation or mapping, they won't be affected.

Changes to existing automations also only apply to future bookings—contacts who already booked won't be updated. This protects your existing contact data from changing unexpectedly.

No. Once deleted, a contact automation is gone forever. But the data it added stays on your contacts. You can recreate the contact automation with the same settings if needed.

Deleting a contact automation doesn't remove data already added. The field values and list assignments stay. If you need to clean that up, edit those contacts manually.
